Air store heat pump technology has now caught up with the efficiency of ground store systems, but at a fraction of the price. Our price for the QC 6000 Air store heat pump includes delivery and installation plus a wooden shelter to conceal the outdoor unit and an energy monitor to measure how much money you are saving.

A log cabin from Scandinavian Log Cabins Direct is very environmentally responsible. So having made the decision to purchase an environmentally responsible building why not also choose an environmentally responsible method of heating it, and save yourself a lot of money at the same time.

Scandinavian Log Cabins Direct have combined with Nordic Heating to introduce the CARE QC6000 Air to Air heat pump. An air to air heat pump is a cost efficient method of heating not only for log cabins, but also extensions or conventional homes.

The CARE QC6000 is up to 360% efficient meaning more than three and a half times more energy comes out than goes in.
It's not magic it's science. A heat pump operates using the same principle as a domestic refrigerator by moving heat energy from one place to another.

While a domestic refrigerator moves heat from inside the fridge to outside, the CARE QC 6000 moves heat energy from outside your house to the inside. It does not matter how cold it is outside.
CARE QC 6000 has been designed for the Scandinavian market to be efficient in outside temperatures as low as -15deg C.

  • Slashes heating costs - Up to 360% efficient. 1.2kW of energy goes in, 3.7kW of heat comes out. In local tests in the UK we have achieved up to 6kW of heat.
  • Running costs are 27% of conventional electric heating, or 65% of gas heating.
  • Air Conditioning too - In the summer the QC6000 can be run 'in reverse' to cool the inside of your home.
  • Air Filtration too - CARE QC 6000 contains a filter which can capture up to 95% of air borne particles.
  • Remarkably low price - Heat pumps are not new, they have been around for a few years. In Scandinavia they are commonplace. Historically ground store heat pumps with long pipes buried in the garden to recover heat enegy from the ground have been the most efficient, but they are expensive and difficult to install. Now Air store heat pumps like QC6000 have caught up in terms of efficiency and are very simple to install. An 'air store' heat pump recovers heat energy from the outside air and so does not need pipes buried in the ground. It does not matter if it is cold outside. It still works!

CARE QC 6000 marks a new generation in Air store heat pumps at an extraordinarily low price.

PLUS we supply a wooden shelter to conceal the outside unit, and an energy meter so you can track its power consumption. You also get an on site replacement service if it should break down during the warranty period.

CARE QC 6000 components

CARE QC 6000 has two major components. An 'inside unit' and an 'outside unit'
  • Inside unit - hangs on an exterior wall close to the ceiling. Its dimensions are just 76cm x 26cm x 18cm. Two hoses pass through the wall to the outside unit. One hose is carrying hot gas from the outside unit, and the other hose is carrying cold gas back to the outside unit.
A fan blows warm air from the inside unit down the wall towards the floor, and recycles stale air from the ceiling level through its filter which keeps the air in the room clean.
Because the air is kept circulating the temperature in the room will be more even at floor and ceiling level compared to a room heated by radiators which suffers from overheating at ceiling level, and underheating at floor level. The fan is whisper quiet at just 35dB(A) on its low setting.
A remote control allows setting of room temperature and mode.
  • Outside unit - stands on the floor outside the room containing the inside unit. Its dimensions are 81cm x 51cm x 27cm.
A fan in the outside unit blows air onto the element of the heat pump which contains a gas compressed by a compressor pump where heat energy from the air passes into the gas which is then sent to the inside unit. To conceal the outside unit the price of the CARE QC 6000 includes a wooden shelter. Also supplied is plastic trunking to conceal the hoses leading up the wall to the inside unit. The length of hose supplied is 4m so the outside unit cannot be located any further away from the inside unit.

  • Other parts- Also supplied is an energy meter which connects in line between the mains socket and the power cord for the QC 6000. This energy meter records how much power the unit is consuming and because it can be programmed with the cost per unit of your electricity it will tell you precisely how much money the QC6000 costs to run.
