Mobile Homes

Currently the size limit set on a mobile home is 65' (20m) long X 22' wide (6.8m) X 10' (3.05m) high. A mobile home also has to be capable of being transported in no more than two pieces, but it does not have to be on wheels. So long as a building meets the required dimensions and can be lifted by a crane onto a lorry then it qualifies as a mobile home or 'static caravan'.

Available in eleven different models using the same proven technology as our popular range of Tallbo log cabins, our Mobo series uses the unique Knut-lok (c) system to permit easy dismantling of the assembled cabin for transportation and reassembly elsewhere.
The Mobo range of park homes have a similar specification to our Tallbo cabins. They come with double glazed windows and doors, insulated walls, and internal walls and doors. They are available either as kits to be built on site, or as completed mobile homes on a wheeled steel chassis.

Traditionally mobile homes have been zero rated for VAT which made them particularly attractive. In the 2012 budget the Chancellor George Osborne announced that mobile homes would be subject to 20% standard rate VAT from October 1st 2012. After protests from the industry the Government has climbed down and agreed the tax rate should be just 5%. So if you want to avoid paying any VAT at all then do so before October to beat the VAT increase.
